1. As surface treatment: Application is made by brush, spray gun or backpack sprayer, prior to dissolving 1 litre of product in 10 litres of water, just before application (always from bottom to top), and downwind to avoid splashing as the product is alkaline. After applying aplica Hidrofugante de Fachadas B.A. solution, the treated surface should dry for 24 hours to develop maximum water repellency. The yield is approximately of 50 m per litre of aplica Hidrofugante de Fachadas B.A. (11 litres of solution), since it depends on the porosity of the material. Adjacent, non-porous surfaces must be protected, since the product can irreparably stain them, to which may be employed.
2. In aerial surfaces: A 4% of aplica Hidrofugante de Fachadas B.A. will be added to the mortar. Tiles will be treated by spray gun or brush once the work is finished.
3. As an additive in cement paste: it can be used as a waterproofing treatment by adding about 4% of aplica Hidrofugante de Fachadas B.A. on cement weight (in this case, it should be noted a delay in setting time). Unlike other treatments with silicones, treated surfaces can be painted subsequently.
4. As an additive in aqueous paints: aplica Hidrofugante de Fachadas B.A. can be applied as an additive in solution, at low concentrations, to impart waterproofing properties to aqueous paints. Some emulsion paints are sensitive to alkali, so it is advisable to do a preliminary test to verify that the emulsion does not break.
5. Latex paints: Add 1,5 kg of aplica Hidrofugante de Fachadas B.A per 100 kg of paint. Adhesive paints: 3% of aplica Hidrofugante de Fachadas B.A. with respect to the adhesive or casein.
6. It can also be applied according to the technique of DRYING WALLS AFFECTED BY UPWARD CAPILLARY OF MOISTURE by injection of the product, as illustrated in the PDF data sheet of this product.

• aplica Hidrofugante de Fachadas B.A is a highly alkaline material and it should be handled with the same care as if it were a solution of caustic soda.
• It should always be applied as a liquid and never as a fog. If it was formed, avoid inhalation taking into account the wind direction. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact with the skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. In case of contact with eyes, wash within 15 minutes and get medical assistance.
• R35: Causes severe burns. S23: Do not breathe gas/fumes/ vapour/spray. S24/25: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. S26: In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. S28: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and get medical assistance. S36/37/39: Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves and eye/face protection. S42: During fumigation/spraying wear suitable respiratory equipment. S45: In case of accident or if you feel unwell seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible).

• aplica Hidrofugante de Fachadas B.A should be stored in closed containers at room temperature. If the temperature drops to freezing state, it can develop a crystalline structure. This does not
  harm the effectiveness of the material. It is warmed at room temperature and the solution is again clear and ready to use. The shelf life of this product is up to one year if properly stored.

It confers properties to the treated materials such as:

• Resistance to condensation of moisture, because the product is fully breathable.
• Very easy to apply, without altering the surface (tonality and touch), without yellowing.
• Great penetrating power.
• Prevents the formation of moss and mold.

• Waterproofing treatment of concrete, bridges, roads, sidewalks, and driveways: To increase setting time and improve resistance to freeze-thaw effects of weathering.
• Treatment for natural and manufactured stone such as limestone, sandstone, granite, and absorbent ceramic tiles: To reduce efflorescence, keep surfaces clean and improve their resistance to weather effects.
• Treatment of high absorption of mineral aggregates such as vermiculite, perlite, expanded slate (absorbent and porous) and inorganic foam: designed to reduce water absorption.
• Asbestos coating: to reduce the absorption of water and give greater strength after exposure to moisture.
• aplica Hidrofugante de Fachadas B.A. is also used as an additive, scattering in certain materials before use in order to provide greater protection against water, increase their dispersion properties and resistance. In this regard, its main applications are: Dispersion agent in clay or ceramic to reduce water needs, and therefore improve resistance to mildew. As an additive for coating of latex and cement basic paints, wood walls, to provide waterproof.
• As application of surfaces to be treated with latex paints and ceramic tiles to give more strength, adhesion and water resistance.
