Capaproof COAT 2K

Dual-component polyurethane resin, aliphatic, suitable for floor coverings and resistant to UV radiation

• Very high- resistance aliphatic sealant for vehicular traffic
• Any RAL colour
• UV ray-resistant

Aliphatic, dual-component, coloured, glossy, solvent-based polyurethane resin for coating, decoration and protection of glossy floor coverings, as well as protection of aromatic waterproofing membranes (CAPAPROOF PUA and CAPAPROOF PU) against UV rays. It forms a hard, strong, continuous film with excellent mechanical and adhesion properties that make it resistant to weathering and extreme temperatures. Resistant to vehicular traffic.

Use

For application in the following situations:
• Coating of surfaces such as continuous industrial flooring, resistant for industrial and commercial use.
• Protection of CAPAPROOF PUA and CAPAPROOF PU waterproofing membranes against solar UV rays, in waterproofing applications of flat and sloped roofs, terraces, balconies, vehicular traffic, etc.
• Glossy and aliphatic coating for CAPAFLOOR EP and CAPAFLOOR EP W epoxy paving resins.

Presentation

It is presented in kits of 17.2 kg + 2.8 kg metal containers.

General characteristics

• It is a polyurethane resin, glossy and coloured or translucent, fully aliphatic and solvent-based.
• Its colouring, in the case of the translucent version, is achieved during implementation by adding pigments (20% by weight).
• Available in any non-metallic RAL colour (see price list for conditions).
• SRI certificate of reflectance index and solar emissivity according to ASTM E1980-11 (CAPAPROOF COAT 2K White colour).
• It forms a continuous coating that is easy to clean and maintain, as well as resistant to algae and fungal growth.
• It can be applied on roofs from zero slope on various surfaces: concrete, cement, ceramic, CAPAPROOF PUA membranes, and
• CAPAPROOF PU (for protection against UV rays).
• Application of CAPAPROOF COAT 2K must be carried out in conditions where there is no moisture or water coming from the substrate, either at the time of application or afterwards (water table pressure.)
• In the case of existing moisture in the substrate at the time of application, consult the technical data sheets of our primers where the maximum moisture ranges are specified.
• The final product is made by mixing the two components supplied in the kit. If you are only applying some of the product, respect the mixing ratio at all times so that the final product achieves the best product conditions.
• It can be diluted with CAPAPROOF SOLVENT in applications with airless equipment, up to a maximum of 5%. Do not apply in swimming
pools, ponds or aquariums (see CAPAPROOF COAT 2K POOL).

Consumption

The consumption of CAPAPROOF COAT 2K varies according to the number of coats to be applied, depending on the intended use or the type of substrate. After mixing the two components by means of electric equipment at low or medium speed, apply in thin coats by means of a short-nap acrylic wool roller or similar, brush or airless electric equipment; consumption is approximately 150 g/m2/coat, with total consumption of up to 300 g/m2 depending on the final use or type of application. Consult our technical department or the Technical Application Guides of the liquid waterproofing systems.

Note

The recommendations for use are based on our knowledge and experience. The technical data have been obtained under normal laboratory conditions and may vary depending on the conditions of installation. As the conditions of application are beyond our control, the information in this sheet does not imply any liability on the part of the company.
